File A (the reference)
File B (compared against A)
Supports CSV and Excel (.xlsx). PDF invoices are not read in this version because reliable text extraction would need OCR: export the PDF table to Excel or CSV first. A typical check is PO vs GRN, or PO vs Invoice.

File B columns
Matching rules
Item codes are compared ignoring capitals and extra spaces. Prices are compared only when both files have a price column.

What MatchFlow does
MatchFlow checks two lists against each other: for example a purchase order against the goods received note, or an invoice against the purchase order. It matches items by code and shows exactly where the lists disagree.
Upload two CSV or Excel files, confirm which columns hold the item code, quantity and price, and get a clear list of discrepancies you can filter, export or print.
Features
- Two uploads (CSV or Excel) with a document type for each: PO, Invoice, GRN or General
- Suggested column mapping that you can change
- Match by item code, with optional quantity and price tolerances
- Items missing from the second file and extra items that were not expected
- Quantity differences and unit price differences, with value impact
- Filter by discrepancy type and search by code or description
- Export to CSV or Excel, or print a discrepancy report
How to use MatchFlow
- Upload file A (for example the purchase order) and file B (the invoice or GRN).
- Check the suggested columns for item code, quantity and price.
- Set tolerances if small differences are acceptable, then press Compare.

Frequently asked questions
What can I compare?
Any two item lists that share an item code: PO against invoice, PO against GRN, invoice against GRN, or two general lists.
Does it read PDF invoices?
Not in this version. Export the table to Excel or CSV first. Reading PDFs reliably would need text recognition, which is not included.
How are repeated item codes handled?
By default quantities for the same code are added together in each file. You can switch this off to compare line by line.
Is this accounting software?
No. It is a checking tool that highlights differences. It does not connect to accounting systems or post any entries.
