What ScanCount does

ScanCount is a mobile-friendly stock counting tool. Import your stock list, scan or type each item code, add the counted quantity, and compare the count with the system quantity.

When the count is done, review shortages, excess, items not counted and items that were not on the list, then export a variance report or print it.

How to use ScanCount

1. Import your stock master (CSV or Excel) and choose the code, description and quantity columns.
2. Press Start counting.
3. Scan or type an item code, set the quantity and press Add to count.
4. Open Review to filter shortages, excess and not-counted items.
5. Export the variance report or print it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I scan with my phone camera?

In browsers that support barcode detection (for example Chrome on Android) and over a secure page. Otherwise type the code, or use a handheld scanner that types into the box.

What happens to an item that is not in my stock list?

It is counted and flagged as “Not in master” so you can investigate it.

Will I lose my count if I close the page?

Yes unless you tick “Save on this device”. The count is not uploaded anywhere. Download the report before you leave.

Which variance does it show?

Counted quantity minus system quantity. Negative is a shortage and positive is an excess.

Privacy: your files stay with you

Your files stay on your device. Processing happens in your browser, and your documents are not uploaded to BusyDayKit servers.
